China And Chile Upgrade Free Trade Agreement

   It is reported that China and Chile free trade agreement was formally signed by the end of 2017 to upgrade "the Protocol", it is expected to be implemented during the year 2018. Both sides will continue to expand market opening on the basis of a high level of liberalization of the original free trade agreement. 

   As a result, the proportion of the total zero-tariff products will reach about 98% and will become the highest free trade agreement in China so far.

   After the upgrade comes into effect, Chile will cancel tariffs on 24 products such as home appliances, textiles and clothing immediately from China, and China will export about 4 million U.S. dollars to Chile each year. Related products from the current 6% of the import tariffs directly reduced to zero tariffs.——
