The us government will decide by the end of January whether to impose trade sanctions on China as a response to a large trade deficit, according to the nikkei newspaper.

Last week, U.S. Commerce Department data showed that the U.S. trade deficit with China increased 0.6 percent to $35.4 billion in November, the largest increase since September 2015.At the end of January, Mr. Trump's first state of the union address in congress, focused on a trade vision and a more aggressive stance toward China.——
